What does joy mean to you?
To me, joy means not taking life too seriously. Embracing the weirdness, the twists and the turns and laughter. The more laughter the better!
What are some of the small things you celebrate?
Long drives to my barn, time with my horse, making my children laugh and connections with strangers.
Tell us about a really special time in your life, and why you treasure it.
The first year of business for Secretly Gifting was truly special in so many ways. Ashley and I were so energized and focused on paving our own path. We were determined to create something special that not only served a need but also would bring people JOY! It was not an easy time but it was super special and looking back, I smile recognizing how far we've come.
We all have trying moments. What is something positive you did or chose to focus on to keep you moving forward?
I always focus on the fact that nothing is permanent. Life keeps moving. The seasons keep coming. Good times will roll in again. It's the recognition of the journey that is life, that keeps me positive, curious and hopeful.
Tell us about someone who's been a positive influence
in your life.
My brother has been not only my biggest cheerleader, but also someone who holds me accountable and encourages me to be vulnerable. It's that combination that has made him invaluable to me.
