What does joy mean to you?

Feeling confident within myself and my decisions. Being with my family, and doing things every day (no matter how large or small) that truly make me happy.

What are some of the small things you celebrate?

Its easy to get buried in your work. I try to celebrate those milestones and small accomplishments along the way. Squeezing in a quick workout, taking some time for me is also a HUGE win.

Tell us about a really special time in your life, and why you treasure it.

There are so many—the exercise of trying to pin point just one makes me feel truly grateful. Switching careers, starting the bakery, getting married and the birth of my two children have always been it for me. With that being said, and with everything thats going on in the world, the pandemic, and quarantine we have all been forced to reprioritize our lives and our time. This past year, I was able to spend more time with my family than I ever have before. This is the silver lining I am so grateful for, and I treasure it because life moves quickly, and my family comes first.

We all have trying moments. What is something positive you did or chose to focus on to keep you moving forward?

When I'm struggling or dealing with what seems like the impossible, I stop, take a breath and think back to the last time I was in crisis. No matter how bad it seemed at the time, I made It through to the other side and was that much stronger for it.

Tell us about someone who's been a positive influence
in your life.

Having other female entrepreneurs, especially those who are also mothers and get the work / life balance juggling act are such a valuable asset to me. I am lucky to have a few of these women in my inner circle (Hi Zara!) We are here for each other always, its just nice to be able to confide in someone who just GETS IT.

Last but not least: what's your favorite cake flavor?

This is a trick question, right? I love them all—I'm not picky. But if I HAD to choose, I'd say a funfetti, or something with hidden candy in it ;)
