What does joy mean to you?

Spending time with the people I love (and being truly present) is what brings me the most joy.

What are some of the small things you celebrate?

Matcha lattes, a morning workout, and my kids staying asleep past 6am.

Tell us about a really special time in your life, and why you treasure it.

This past winter, COVID allowed me the opportunity to spend the winter in my hometown (Miami, FL). It was incredibly special to watch my own kids experience the city that I grew up in, and to be close to family and and dear friends after so much time apart.

We all have trying moments. What is something positive you did or chose to focus on to keep you moving forward?

Whenever things feel hard, I remind myself that in 6 months, any situation will almost certainly be different. So far that has proved true. When you recognize that a challenging phase won't last forever, it becomes easier to handle. I have so much to be grateful for, and the difficult times really do pass.

Tell us about someone who's been a positive influence
in your life.

My grandmother inspired me in so many ways, and I was lucky to have her in my life for 30+ years. She was intelligent, artistic, intellectually curious, deeply caring, and years ahead of her time.
